Our Story

Dorina and Andrew first met at a dinner party in 2014, of which Dorina has no memory. Fast forward to January 2017, Dorina and Andrew met again in Niseko on a week long ski trip organized by their mutual friends. At the first encounter, Andrew opened up a conversation with confidence "Hi Dorina, It's been a long time!", to which Dorina replied "Do I know you?"

The awkwardness continued for much of the trip, then Andrew saw a desperate glimpse of hope when they finally found common interests in dogs and food. To this day, Andrew regrets not using these sure-win topics for icebreaking sooner. After the trip, they had continued their conversations, met up for doggy playdates and hikes, and eventually gone on dates. Every date has been better than the last, and they have been inseparable ever since.

People who know Dorina would say she is the sweetest and most affectionate person, and her smile is as bright as the sun. The same could not be said about Andrew, who is really a hot-headed, stubborn piece of potato. However, the two share the same feeling for each other. Dorina motivates Andrew to become more patient and the best version of himself; Andrew just wants to make Dorina laugh everyday and care for her.

So on July 26th 2021, witnessed by their families and closest friends, on the beach in front of the restaurant where they had their first date, Andrew got down on one knee. Ring was presented, followed by hugs and kisses. It was truly an amazing evening. 

 

Originally, the two had planned to get married in front of all their friends, but God forbid Covid19 happened. They had to make last minute adjustments to their wedding plans to comply with stringent social restrictions. On January 16th, 2022, the two officially tied the knot at a small but very intimate ceremony surrounded by just their families and loved ones.

 

Fast forward to 2023, with Covid19 seemingly behind us, Dorina and Andrew would like to invite everyone back once more and join them in celebrating their marriage, and the arrival of a new addition to their family!
